\\\ In what areas do you work?
Our ‘base of operations’ is Pennington, NJ, which is just minutes from the PA border and about 10 miles from Princeton NJ. We have done portraits and weddings from Long Island, NY to Philadelphia and beyond. If you like our photography and would like to hire us, chances are good that we will travel to your destination, whether it is in Baltimore or Boise.
\\\ How would you define your photography style for weddings?
This is a good question : ) We are generally unobtrusive photographers who like to capture weddings from a photo-journalistic standpoint. While of course no wedding is complete without posed formal or semi-formal portraiture, we find that the best wedding images will usually be those that are not pre-planned or otherwise staged. We strive to use natural light when at all possible, however, off-camera lighting and bounce-flash photography are sometimes necessities.
\\\ What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check and all major credit cards. We also accept payment via PayPal.
\\\ I love your work! How do I book you for my wedding photography?
To book your wedding day, we require a signed contract and a non-refundable $500 deposit.
\\\ What photography equipment do you bring to the wedding?
Dependent on what is required (formals, wedding/reception restrictions or lighting challenges and special requests) we always bring a minimum of two camera bodies, multiple lenses, several flashes batteries (for camera and flash) flash cards and other miscellaneous items (lighting, tripod, etc). We want to make sure that if any of our equipment should fail we have a backup readily at hand.
\\\ My venue requires photographers to have proof of insurance, do you have any?
This is normal, and though most people don’t realize it, any professional photographer should have insurance. As such we are insured in the event that any type of accident or misfortune occurs at your venue related to our photography personnel or equipment.
\\\ Do you photograph in both black and white and color?
Yes. : )
\\\ How far in advance should I book my wedding photography?
This can vary based on the season and the couple, but we typically book clients anywhere from 6 months to 1 year before their wedding.
\\\ Do you offer wedding photography albums?
Yes we do. We work with some of the best wedding album companies in the business. All of our wedding albums are custom designed so you’ll never see any two alike. There are far too many options and choices to discuss here, but it is safe to say that you will find an album style you absolutely love. The album design process is a collaborative one, with initial design consultations, proofing and then final layout.
\\\ What type of clothing should be worn for our engagement photography?
I feel it’s best to keep your engagement photography about you rather then what you’re wearing. I do advise my clients to stay away from clothing with busy patterns or words (especially logos). Solid colors work well especially with black and white photography.
\\\ When do we get our images and/or albums from the wedding?
Your wedding album will be ready for shipping no later then 6 weeks after your wedding date. If you’re receiving a CD/DVD of wedding images, those will typically be ready sooner, and will be mailed to you within 4 weeks.
\\\ When should I schedule my engagement and/or bridal portrait photography sitting?
Engagement sittings are typically booked 3-9 months before your wedding date. Bridal portrait photography sittings are typically booked 1-3 months before your wedding date. Of course, this is just a rough guideline and the season or overall feel you want generally is most important.
\\\ Do you include a DVD with your wedding photography packages?
All wedding packages have a DVD of high-res images included in the cost. A release is provided so the couple can print off any photographs they like.
\\\ How can my friends and family see the wedding, bridal or engagement photography?
As part of my service, I post images onto a gallery for your review. Your friends & family can view these photos with a password (provided to you) as well as place an order if they like.
